We often get asked the question from prospective students “Why should I study with you?”
And this is our answer.
We are the original specialist horticultural correspondence college. We have an enviable history stretching back to the mid 1930's.
Do look at our list of tutors, their qualifcations do support the claim that we make that all our tutors are very able and their students are well looked after.

Oliver Menhinick is well known - google his name if you like, he was awarded his MBE (by Prince Charles- see picture) for services to horticulture and more recently he received the Institute of Horticulture award for Outstanding Services to Horticulture in recognition of his contribution to Horticultural Education over many years.
We can and do help our members in their need for gardening knowledge and skills whether non vocational or professional up to degree level.
We have a library of over 1,000 horticultural books and reference sources and are always happy to provide additional information.
We provide the opportunity to see any course lesson and also to ring or email an existing college member to ask how their course is going for them.
Do compare us to the competition and research from each company exactly what you will be getting for your money.
- How many pages of study will your course provide? (not how many lessons)
- What qualifications, experience and durability do their tutors have?
- Are they a college that specialises in horticulture or a “jack of all trades”
- Can you speak to a tutor easily for advice and support, is additional material, sample exam papers and further reading available at no extra charge?
- Can you see a whole sample lesson or just a couple carefully selected of pages
- Can you actually contact an existing student rather than rely on Mr F from Sussex says ....
We are confident that our courses and service are second to none and if you are not entirely happy with your course we offer a 14 day no quibble warranty, providing your course is returned to us in useable condition we will refund 100% of you enrolment fee.
